The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council announces the January 27th Art Project Grant deadline.

This is available for larger arts organizations in the following counties:  Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake and St. Louis.  ARAC will offer a grant writing workshop on January 11th from 3 to 5 p.m. in the ARAC Meeting Room, Suite 120, Marshall Professional Building, 1301 Rice Lake Road, Duluth.

   To be eligible for this program, a non-profit organization must have an annual cash budget greater than $40,000.  All arts organizations located within the City Limits of Duluth must apply to this grant program regardless of their annual cash budget.  Accredited community colleges, private universities, and state universities located in the Arrowhead Region must also use this program to request funding for public arts projects.

   This program provides grant funding of up to $5,000 per project to support activities directly involved in the creation, performance, exhibition or publication of artistic works; or to present arts events by contracting for the services of other organizations or individuals.

  Bob DeArmond, Executive Director, will provide technical assistance in preparing and submitting an application, grant writing tips, project eligibility, and other topics.  Representatives from arts organizations interested in applying for project support are encouraged to attend this workshop.  The workshop is free.

   Reminder:  Friday, January 27, 2012 - ARAC Art Project Grant Application Deadline.  Applications must be postmarked or received by 4:30 p.m. on the deadline date.  Applications received after this time are ineligible and will not be reviewed. Applications will not be accepted by email or other forms of electronic transmission.
