The City of Santa Clarita Arts & Events Office is seeking to commission eight artists to create art works for the Newhall Artwalk - part of the development of the Newhall Arts & Theatre District. Business owners on San Fernando Road are partnering with the City to make space available in their business to display the commissioned art pieces during the month of October 2005. The art works must be constructed with materials purchased in the business or items donated by the owner from their business.
The selected artists will be awarded $500 to implement the art component.

Toledo, OH - Deadline: September 2, 2005
The Tribute Planning Committee of the Maumee River Crossing Task Force (MRCTF) has convened a Design Review Board to acquire public artwork to recognize, honor and memorialize all of the people who have participated in the construction of the new I-280 Maumee River Bridge, with particular emphasis on those who were injured or lost their lives during construction in Toledo, Ohio.
Budget: up to $100,000 inclusive.

SAN FRANCISCO BAY, CA - open
There is a wonderful opportunity in the San Francisco Bay Area for an
artist to create a site-specific, large-scale, exterior sculpture. Work that
is kinetic, solar or wind activated, etc. is especially desirable. Artists must
have proven track record with large-scale commissions. Anticipated budget is
