Experience
There are a number of artists in my family and I knew from an early age that I too wanted to make a living creating art.
I got into jewelry manufacturing almost by accident. I was 24 and going to sign up for the apparel arts program at my community college. I noticed that the school had a jewelry program and I was drawn into it almost gravitationally!
I have always been attracted to 3D art and jewelry making is the perfect match for me, however I also dabble in sculpture, sewing, photography, and painting.
I love to use found and recycled objects in my jewelry. Broken shells, nuts and bolts, circuit boards, random objects that my dog (adia) and I find on our walks. I also find inspiration in nature and architecture.
