Elliott Durko Lynch is a active performing artist, performance maker,
theater technician, and is a Sage Award Nominated sound artist who
loves to live in Minneapolis Minnesota. He graduated in 2005 from the
University of Minnesota Twin Cities where he studied performance,
theatrical design, and electronic music with artists including
Aleksandra Wolska, Michael Sommers, and Doug Geers.
In spring 2009 he co-created with choreographer Justin Jones the
collaborative performance "RadioBrain" at the Southern Theater. In
2008 he dropped in to the Spring Movement Festival presenting the
short work "Bryant Lake Bowl Intermission #3" at CATCH 30 in Brooklyn,
and has presented work in Minneapolis at the Soap Factory, The
Southern Theater, and Bryant Lake Bowl. The Sage Award nominated "FOR
YOUR EYES ONLY” was created at Intermedia Arts as the outcome of the
Jerome Foundation Naked Stages Performance Commissioning Program in
2006. Elliott has been lucky to dance and perform in various
capacities for Anna Marie Shogren, Chris Schlichting, Hannah Kramer,
Body Cartography, Andy Sturdevant, Justin Jones, Sara Shaylie, and
Morgan Thorson & Co. He continues to develop his own solo work.
Lynch has created electroacoustic sound scores and theatrical sound
designs for a diverse range of live performance works including his
own, and as standalone media works. In 2007 he developed video and
sound for Skewed Visions’ “Strange Love” (a noted Outstanding
Set/Design for 2007 Citypages), and was co-recipient with Charles
Campbell of the Electric Eyes Commission for New Media Performance at
the Southern Theater. Lynch recently received a Sage Award Nomination
in 2008 for Outstanding Sound Design for work with Skewed Visions
“Jasper Johns; Grey", Choreographer Chris Schlicting’s "love/things",
and Joanna Furnans' "I'm glad I finally beat you" (May 2008). Other
sound credits include work for Morgan Thorson, Interact Theater
Company, and as a contributing artist on the short lived podcast pilot
"Radio All Stars."
