I am a composer/multi-instrumentalist who specializes in music
for film, video and other media. I also work as a solo artist,
performing either acoustic guitar or looping ambient electronic music. I
am currently working on a solo album, "Salieri's Revenge", as
well as working with Orkestar Bez Ime on a new album, "Mahala Drive".
Both albums will be released Fall 2010.
I also play guitar, mandolin and percussion for Orkestar Bez Ime,
a Twin Cities band that specializes in Eastern European Dance Music.
Recently, I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Music from the
University of Minnesota - School of Music, where I focused on
Composition, with Guitar as my primary instrument.
In 1999, I was Music Director for Brave New Workshop
(Minneapolis improv comedy theatre) and, for eight years, was
composer/arranger and sound designer for Idiot Box, a comedy
sketch troupe. Also, for four years, I performed with Celtic folk group
Lojo Russo & Funks Grove, with whom I coproduced three
albums.
Since 2005, under Human Soundtrack Productions, I have composed and
produced music for radio (KFAI news - 90.3FM), theatre
(Katherine Glover - "A Cynic Tells Love Stories"), short films
(Y.A.F.I. Underground Productions), internet podcasts
(Microscopic Life - Lbs. Productions), and feature length
documentaries (Killing Joke Productions).
In 2009, I also composed music for a 1928 short silent film based on
Edgar Allen Poe's "Fall of the House of Usher".
I've been involved in many different projects ranging from Classical
& Jazz to Folk/World Music to Musical Theatre to Experimental
Electronica.
