About the artist:
U.Hoefler, a self taught photographer, theater hand and social worker was born and raised in Germany.
He moved from New York to Minnesota in 2000. His images show mainly “rural and urban landscapes”, architectural scenes and details, rarely portraits. Human beings - when captured - are mostly “embedded “into the scenery.
U.H. started to experiment with camera and light in his teens, later he taught lab.-skills, film making and video editing as a youth worker in several spare centers in Berlin/Germany.
His break through as an artist came with his participation in the “millennium show “at the Mary Gearhart Gallery in SOHO, NYC in 1999.
