Experience
Josef has worked as a commercial artist, fine artist and photographer. He gained notoriety in the 70’s as a luthier making Baroque musical stringed instruments. In 1987 he redirected his focus to German toy making which he teaches at the North House Folk School in Grand Marais, MN and in his own studios in Hovland, MN.
