I'm super excited about this new project, pdpal. June 17th I think. Anyway it's a map that you journal experiences on I think. What a hyper-community this will be! I can't wait. I'll tell you more when I know more. Or if one of you Walker employees can enlighten me, I would be glad.
Thanks
~Ray

Hi Ray. I am really excited about the PDPal project as well. I can't give you a lot of additional information--I know very little about how it will actually work but I will invite you and everyone else to a special SNEAK PREVIEW of the project next FREE THURSDAY. On June 12 at 6 pm the creators of PDPal will be giving a demonstration about the project in the Mpls Sculpture Garden and we'll all have a chance to start our own maps.
PDPal officially launches on Sat, June 14th during the 15th Anniversary Garden Celebration, so this is your chance to try it out first--before the masses arrive. And to ask questions of the project's makers.

Hope to see you there,
sarah

Allright! I'm here. Live from within the sculpture "The good the bad and the Ugly" with the pdpal kiosk on the side. Looking forward to this. It looks like a great program!

It went super well. Except the part where we experienced tech difficulty uploading the maps to the computers in the cabin. Scott, Marina, Julian and Steve were all wonderfull. The program itself is brilliant. We were given an introduction, then went into the garden to try it out. Very neat. I'm going to start a map online in anticipation of the contest on Saturday. (I'll have limited time since I have a birthday party to go to. And Marina said it wouldn't be considered cheating) I'll find the link to the site in a minute. Another aspect of it is a "Knowledge Map" the U of M is commisioning them to do... So I'll provide a bunch of content for that and see if I can recive a reward. Boy, I wish some walker staff were here to discuss it more articulatly....

There's a feedback link under the 'about' arm of the flash interface at pdpal.walkerart.org. Or, do your troubles prevent you from getting that far? Works for me with flash 6 + mozilla 1.2 on linux.
