Ellie,
Sorry it took me a few days. Funny, while I am not fluent, I teach a basic sign language for the clients at the day program I work at. I have toyed with the idea of interpreting professionally at some point but it hasn't come to pass yet. I have far to many interests for my own good. I am going to go look at your art now, but I wanted to reply right away before I got distracted by a hosehold chore or a family member!!

What went before, my experience of the report from the striking of our last record indulgence, I leap herein; as we will now come to face the future. Previously, I upheld through a surrealist method of aquittal, an acounting of effects both instinctual as it was ontological. Only now do I expect that the time could support opperability in terms of some equations. Because, for reasons that I consider as ephemeral, the past is broken.

Taking stock, in an assesment of my new optimized per-view: in fundamental terms, as in the area ground poliotics -Nothings Changed. Though I have found a type emergence of some riders. These are the carriers of an affinity, and these allow me more and more to squelch the customary limits by attenuation.

Seeking consistent paths of less resistance, I have a bank of existential failings which I am now ready to fire with scientific discrimination. Therefore I live.

I'm sorry Ellie. But it was some time ago that I used to frequent the dream section. I don't know if it even exists anymore. I really don't think so. Maybe I caused it to implode.

Hi y'all - My name is Jim Grafsgaard. I have been on mnartists.org for several years (http://www.mnartists.org/jim_grafsgaard) but only recently have begun posting a bit.

Currently I am based in NE Mpls. I'm a painter, printmaker and am investigating digital media more seriously now. 48 years old, visual artist all my adult life, have lived in California, Guam, Minnesota and Spain.

I paint in all media, and am focused largely on a body of work I call Geo-expressionism. But I also do figurative work, realist landscapes of sorts, and erotica. Finally I am making my living as a painter, for which I am grateful, since I have not been big on marketing myself - except I always have artwork on public display in at least 4 or 5 places at a time.

I am also a big believer in artists claiming our own power thru collective effort. My involvements have included: ArTrujillo (www.artrujillo.com) Multicultural Studios and Gallery, Babylon Arts and Cultural Collective, Artstead Artists for Ownership, Art-a-whirl, St Paul Art Crawl, etc.

Most recently I helped organize a Benefit for Art Projects in Iraq. Held this past weekend (April 2, 2005) at the California Building Gallery in NE Mpls, we raised close to $2000 for materials in support of Iraqi artist (and Mpls resident) Haider Al-Amery's plan to paint public murals in Nassriyah over the next 2 months, and to encourage more interchange between artists and galleries in our 2 countries.

Coming up (opens April 16, 2005) at Offbeat Gallery in Mpls, I am participating in "Canvas Clad", where 8 artists painted 10yards each of cloth, from which 8 designers are creating clothing. I am getting an awesome "coat of many colors" out of the deal!

Thanks to Walker Art Center, McKnight Foundation and others for making mnartists.org happen!

Hi. My name is Amy Voytilla. I'm a native St. Paul artist. I just graduated from Macalester College last spring. I majored in Studio Art and Psychology. I've explored a lot of different materials with my art. My roots are in painting- oils, mostly landscapes of northern-Minnesota-ish scenes. I got into ceramics last year- wheel-throwing. My most recent bout of art making has been with photography. In fact, photographs are all I've posted so far.

So I'm young, naive and looking to get more involved in the Twin Cities/Minnesota art scene. And I really appreciate having this opportunity to post my work. Anyone out there have any advice??

-Amy
