Hi Rosemary, I advertised space at Tyler St., light, loft etc, which has been 1/2 rented. If you would be interested in 1/2 of the other 1/2, I don't plan to be around much, call amy 781-5222

I am looking for a work/live space in Minneapolis or St. Paul. The bigger the better. Primitive is ok. Please send any ideas. I know my space is out there.

That's a beautiful building! I wish I could afford to buy it. But if you want to rent out any space in it, let me know!

I am looking for a space to do photography(as an amateur at this point). I have a limited budget but do not need live-in. I am also willing to share. Would prefer some natural light and at least 200-300 square feet. I do need electricity but no water.

HEY JIM,
I'll buy your St. Paul building if you figure out how to sell it to me. HUD chapter V.

I'd be interested in getting in on that too, if you want / need someone else!

I'm looking to rent a small live/work space in St. Paul. I'll only be spending a week or two every month there, so ideally it'll be downtown or in Frog Town so I can easily get around. I'm working on some art projects in the area and don't need a lot of space...

Any recommendations welcome.

If Jim's building could be sold cooperatively to enough people, it would be truely affordable artists' housing. It could be modeled after Monterey Co-housing (an Edwardian style mansion) http://www.jimn.org/mococo/. See also http://www.cohousing.org/.

From http://www.xanga.com/jimoakes (Jim's building)-
"This mansion does have 8 bathrooms and easily 10 or more bedrooms. But since it's used as a 7- unit building it has 6 full kitchens and a half kitchen in the commercial unit and 6- GARAGE SPACES"

Divided by 5 the price would be $94,833 each. By 6- $113,800. By 7- $81,286. In reality, the unit prices would differ some. I'd joyously sell my house and buy in.

Any thoughts out there? Jim?
Is it only a dream?
