I am a graduate of the U of MN's architecture program and enjoy doing furniture/large scale mock up work. I am looking for a live/work loft space, preferrably in Minneapolis, but St. Paul would be fine as well. I'm partial to warehouse space, but am flexible. If someone is interested in rooming together or if any lister has something that would fit, I am heading back to grad school and will be poor as hell for quite sometime, but I need a place to design! If anyone is kind enough to point me in the right, or at least a certain direction in getting help finding a place like this I would be extremely grateful. Thanks.

I am looking for a studio / live space in Minneapolis. I need a space by June 1st. I am a designer looking to live and work out of my space. Currently, space is more important than luxury, considering I am on a budget. Please respond.
Thank you,
Ted

My mother is a realtor - has a nice house - probably perfect for musicians/artists who might be interested in co-housing/sharing the purchase of a property. In Mpls across from the Blaisdell YMCA convenient to 3+ buslines. more info on her website www.BarbaraNdosi.com check the "featured homes" section. under $200,000

I'm afraid I share your sentiments. I am sick of all these super spendy fancy pads being marketed as 'artists live/work' spaces. Sure, if your spouse is a cardiologist... Besides being extraordinarily expensive, they're frequently not big enough and they're 'overfinished." The first thing I do is look at the floor- if you'd be afraid to spill paint on it for fear of ruining it, it's not an artists work space, plain and simple.

Let me know if somebody starts selling affordable studio space that regular artists with regular jobs can manage to buy...
