I'm looking for a used SLR. I'm just starting out, so I don't have anything. I dont mind if it's older, but I would like the option of AutoFocus at least, but it doesn't have to be lightning fast. Anyone have anything they might be looking to part with?

I am looking for framing materials.

I have searched online for some free catalgoues, and other than Dick Blick I cannot find any others. I know at school I saw catalogues for Ulbrecht (or something like that) and few others, of which I cannot remember their names. Does anyone here buy framing materials through a catalogue, and if so which catalogue?

If anyone buys framing materials online I'd like to hear that too.

I am just trying to buy bulk framing materials myself so I can put everything together and avoid labor costs. (Last time I framed 3 works for nearly 300 dollars, and I could have done a similar job for about 80-100 dollars. I think)

Any help would be appreciated.
I will pass on any infomation I can find to you all as well.

Thanks
Billy

Seeking small to medium pieces of stone--granite, marble, soapstone, sandstone, river rock. About 3" across would be the smallest size I'm looking for, and about 15" at the most. (Too heavy for me to lift if it's much bigger than that.) Thank you! Looking for as low a price as possible.

ok, Jim. I've gotta let you know man. I think your caps lock key is stuck. Normaly, in type language, CAPS are preserved for shouting. I'm not a type edicate natzi or anything. Just information for ya. Rock the caps if you want. But you may get a more professional effect from lowercase.

Try American Frame Company. I buy from them on the web, and they'll also send a free catalog of wood and metal frames, plexiglass, matboard, etc. Very good service.

I am new to the board.

I am a producer of workshops for women and am looking for the type of chairs where participants can sit on the floor and have some support for their backs. I think the brand-name are called "back-jack" chairs?

I can't afford to buy a whole set, but would love to have 10-12 to rent for a workshop I am hosting from March 11-13.

If anyone has any ideas or has chairs to rent, please email me at frogprincess2296@yahoo.com

The Clay Empire is a great place to get Clay, Materials and Equipment!

Did you hear about my Raku Clay Workshops as well?

Raku Clay Workshop
with The Clay Empire

Join the Clay Empire in the exciting quest to tame Mud, Fire and a pinch of Alchemy in the Summer 2005 Raku Clay Workshops!
Raku is an Americanized Japanese pottery technique that was innovated by Paul Soldner in the 1950's & 1960's. Become a part of the excitement and join Chad Everson and The Clay Empire as the innovation continues. The Traditional Japanese use of Raku ware was in their sacred Tea Ceremony. Raku ignited my imagination in the Fall of 1988. Now let me share this exciting clay process with you. The Clay Empire has state of art Raku kilns, clay, glazes and equipment as well as experimental kilns.

1. In these workshops students will meet at the home studio of The Clay Empire on a Sunday at 1pm-5pm.

The Studio of The Clay Empire
32128 160th St.
Princeton, MN 55371
theclayempire@yahoo.com

> Students will watch a Raku firing demonstration and get their first taste of glazing and firing a Raku clay pinch pot created by the artist. You will be able to take this pinch pot home that night so you can show it off all week!
> Students will be encouraged to create Raku Clay Vessels in studio with 5# of clay.
> Then after the Sunday class your Raku Clay Vessels will be dried and Bisque fired for you by the artist.

2. Then on Saturday we will meet again 1pm-5pm to Raku Fire your Raku Clay Creations.
> You will be able to take home your creations that night!
> Each Student will also receive The Clay Empire Raku Workshop T-Shirt!
During the Workshop please:
> Do not apply hairspray or flammables
> Wool & Denim are great choices in attire
> No open toed shoes, leather is preferred
> Absolutely no acrylic clothing(Very flammable, not good!)
Beginners absolutely welcome!
This is a basic introduction to Raku. However, you will find that you will catch on very quickly! If you have Raku'ed before, you know you have to experience it again. Sign up early, only a limited class size to assure a quality educational experience for all ages.
Each Student will be asked to sign a health insurance and injury disclaimer. Ages 12 and below must be accompanied by adult that is registered for the Workshop as well.
