Josh S: Anything from 700 - 1500 sq feet needed for a jam space for me and my friends. Currently have a studio in a residential area and am running into problems playing music at night. We all don't get done with day jobs until 7 and just like to rock out, so a place without anybody living within earshot would be great!
Flexible on rent and everything, just really need to get out of our current space ASAP.
Thanks!
Josh

Josh Dibley: I'm looking for a Music space as well. I'm not sure how many of these places listed would work for Rock and Electronic music. Not bone crushing, but good, loud rock and roll. Does anyone know about any good rehersal/project studio places, or have any tips on contacting building owners managers about this?
thanks,
josh

Hey, Josh.. and Josh.. have either of you heard of Area 51 in NE Minneapolis? I don't have much info on it but a musican told me it was for musicians and I don't know if it's just practice spaces or studios or what. If you haven't heard of it and want to know more, let me know and I'll see what else I can find out about it.

My band(s) practice at City Sound in NE. It's a warehouse for musicians basically. We have a pretty good sized room for 5 people and pay $330/mo. They run ads in City Pages every week if you're looking for a phone number. Nice folks.

Dustin! Put up some photo work in your mnartists gallery man. A pic on the Skintones site, with the snowed covered guy (http://www.theskintones.com/) rocks the earth. Welcome.

Laura,

I'm very interested in this space. I emailed you from my work address this morning. Here is my home email: kap1@mn.rr.com. I'd like to take a look at the space. I would like to use it for a part time work space for photography and drawing and to show work during the major art crawls. Thank you.

Small web development company looking for a 400-750sf space in Minneapolis. We would be interested in hearing about your spaces if they meet most or all of the following criteria:

- secure building
- Preferably located in South Minneapolis, Uptown, Downtown, U of M or near NE Minneapolis
- good light/windows
- internet connection included or building has capability to bring in outside service
- parking available
- rent in the $500/month or below range

We would prefer to receive a link to a website with photos (or a reasonable number of photos as an attachment), a floorplan (if available) and a fairly comprehensive description of the space and the rent/lease terms. Please note any additional charges that may apply (parking, utilities, etc). Inquiries without the address of the space for rent and a description (at minimum) will receive lower priority. We're sorry, but we're hoping to make a decision quickly and just don't have enough time to call everyone to hear the details on the phone. The more you can help us learn more about your space in the initial e-mail, the better.

Please contact us directly at: officemn@gmail.com.

Thank you!
