That's it! I am binding out on the river today, and it's so beautiful out, I need to share it with you!
I will be having book binding classes the weekend of May 31st, and June 1st. We will be in my back yard overlooking the river. For ages 14+. This class will be weather appropriate. In case of rain or nasty wind, we'll take it into our garage.
Saturday, May 31st
9am- noon: Basic Book Binding (Simple methods: accordian, Japanese, and Funkified)
1pm-4pm: Longstitch
5pm: Potlock (bring something to share!)
Sunday, June 1st
1pm-4pm: Coptic Stitch
5pm: Potlock (Bring something to share!)
Each class is $15, plus the cost of supplies (around $15 total). Up to 6 new students.
Most supplies are available for purchase. If you have the following at home, please feel free to bring them: bone folder, self healing cutting mat, an old paintbrush for gluing (1/2" -1" wide), printer paper (8.5"x11" any color), awl, utility knife with NEW blades*** (these are very important, and I only have a few extras.) I will have bookboard and exterior paper available. Bring some of your own if you like.
