SEGRELICIOUS OPENING RECEPTION SATURDAY, AUGUST 4TH, 6-9 PM
The Shoebox Gallery, in conjunction with Obsidian Arts, presents Segrelicious, a multi-media, poly-racial-gender, exquisite corpse of poetry, performance, and artistic experimentation. Segrelicious explores the emotional, creative and intellectual matter that lies within the differences between people of various social ethnic, cultural, gender backgrounds and the delightful things that happen when it’s stirred up!
Five artists were selected by each gallery representing different demographics and mediums. Each artist has provided an artwork, choreography, composition, film, etc. to another artist who has in turn created a response piece. In this boundary crossing way new work, sensibilities and alliances may be forged.
