This course presents abstract painting in acrylic or oil with an emphasis on design, color and composition. We will address misconceptions about what abstract art is, and you will gain practical knowledge of non-objective visual information. You will work at your own pace on a series of abstract paintings and expand on your knowledge of medium and technique develope your own personal style. This class is open to all skill levels. You'll need to provide your own acrylic or oil paints, canvas (size is your choice), and brushes. If using oil paints, also bring necessary supplies for clean up. You will need to bring your supplies each week.
