A Crash Course in Screen Printing

Sundays, October 28 and November 11, 12:00 - 4:00 pm

Learn basic techniques of how to create images on screens without an exposure unit. Color mixing, registration techniques and a low-tech versions of how to make handmade and hand-cut stencils will be covered in this class. Water-based inks will be used, which can be made heat resistant with an additive so they can be washed and dried. We will be printing on fabric, so please bring yardage that you have previously dyes and that you would like to print on. No previous experience necessary. After this class, you will be able to screen print on your own at home. Materials fee $40.
