Fall greetings to everyone! After receiving countless requests for additional Saami Bracelet classes a little closer to home, I am happy to announce a revised schedule for the rest of 2012.
Please join me for a one day Beginning Saami Friendship Bracelet class at Crown Trout Jewelers in historic Lanesboro, MN. Looking to create unique gifts for the holidays? Traditional Saami jewelry incorporated elements of their northern landscape – softened reindeer leather and sculpted antler. In this class you’ll explore the traditional jewelry techniques of triple braiding coiled pewter wire and sewing the finished braid to a softened reindeer hide strip. A reindeer antler button finishes off the bracelet. All tools and materials included PLUS a delicious lunch in our spacious studio prepared by Chef Bret of the Lanesboro Pastry Shoppe.
