The Second Annual Lowertown Art Show features a variety of work by artists who live, work and/or exhibit art in the Lowertown area of Saint Paul. Over 50 different artists are represented in the show in many different mediums including painting, photography, sculpture, glass, and wood.



New this year, the Lowertown show will begin the tradition of featuring the work of three artists during the show who are especially important to the arts community inSt Paul. The honorees for 2012 are:






Kirk Lyttle, long time illustrator for the Pioneer Press






Ta-coumba Tyrone Aiken, much recognized and heralded founding member of the Lowertown Art community






Catherine Johnson, nationally recognized painter and one of the pioneers of the Lowertown community.





The show is being juried and judged and prizes donated by local businesses and organizations will be awarded at an artists reception on Saturday, November 3rd from 6-10 which is free and open to the public. There will be refreshments, live music with Bernie King & The Guilty Pleasures and a cash bar, along with a chance to vote on the Saint Paul Saints People's Choice Award sponsored by the St Paul Saints. The winner will receive a check for $150, four reserved seats for a May Saints game, a cap and the opportunity to throw out the first pitch of the game!





The AZ Gallery is an artists’ co-op, owned and operated by its 9 member artists. Member artwork is on display in our permanent Member Gallery section.
