Gallery For Rent For Private Events or Classes

The Mill District Arts Gallery is an artist owned collective that has 3 galleries on two levels in a wonderfully restored historic 1883 building at 1023 Washington Ave So (3 blocks east of the Guthrie, next door to Open Book). We are making our lower level gallery available for single event rentals, such as a private opening for your new works, a music recital, poetry reading or a class. The space is full of charm and character with the original limestone walls in place. It has a wire and hook hanging system in place for your artwork, is handicapped accessible and has separate restroom facilities.
There is a $20 application fee to secure your reservation, a $100 refundable damage deposit and an hourly charge of $25 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours. The hourly charge applies to any time needed for your setup and for any time to take down the existing artwork and rehang it if your event requires use of the wall space. Food and beverages may be brought in but liquor is allowed only if it is an invitation only event. No liquor allowed for events open to the general public. A gallery member must be on hand during the event for security purposes and the upstairs galleries will be open for purchases by your guests. Come visit us and see the space.
