The purpose of the Austin Area Art Center is to promote the practice and appreciation of the creative arts to the greater community. All funds generated by the organization will be used in pursuit of this purpose. (Adopted 1999)
Hand-crafted, one of a kind paintings, photographs, jewelry, ceramics, quilts, clothing and more. Everett Hays, coach and teacher, is best known for his sketches of the Minnesota Twins the years they won the World Series. James Wegner, retired Art Instructor, is best known for his watercolors. Sally Gerhart is best known for her watercolor paintings of historical places such as the Tendermaid, Historical Paramount Theatre, Old Fox Hotel, and more.
