The "W" shape appears and reoccurs as an implied, intended, or accidental symbolic, metaphorical, and allegorical visual element in many of my sociopolitical paintings from the years 2000-2008. Several childhood memories, such as growing up in Waseca, Minnesota, and earlier painted works lead directly into the development of the recurring visual element.
