This collection of over 100 images was created by searching mnartists.org on the following words: God, Buddha, Jesus, Hindu, Religious, Christian, Moslem, Islam, Muhammad, Mohammed, Jewish, Judaism, Judaica, Christ. The only rule for inclusion was that the content or subject matter was explicitly and visibly spiritual or religious. This collection contains an incredible range of work, aesthetics, personal exploration, and public testaments of religious searching, belief, and questioning. It is an interesting and provocative exploration of what people feel compelled to create concerning a subject that forms the basis for much of art history but is curiously absent in contemporary art circles.
