2006-2007 MCAD/McKnight Foundation Fellowships for Visual Artists

The Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) is pleased to announce that four Minnesota artists have been selected to receive the 2006-2007 MCAD/McKnight Foundation Fellowships for Visual Artists. They are David Bartley of Minneapolis, Gladys Beltran of Norwood Young America, Jan Estep of Minneapolis and Chris Walla of Moorhead.
The Fellowships, designed to identify and support outstanding mid-career Minnesota artists, provide recipients with $25,000 stipends, public recognition and professional encouragement. A group exhibition of the Fellows’ work will be held in the summer of 2007. The Fellowships are funded by The McKnight Foundation.
The McKnight Artists Fellowships for Visual Artists program is recognized as one of the outstanding Twin Cities foundation-based grant opportunities for visual artists. During its existence, the program has influenced the careers of more than 129 artists. Their work, in turn, has contributed to the creative vitality of the region. The program is administered by the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
