And ask yourself: who am Iwhat have I becomewhat do I want to bewho are we what have we becomewhat do I want to us befor me the tie represents the myriad of narrow views that contribute to the chaotic state we see in the world - today and for millenium we find ourselves at odds with each other warring tribes bound by fundamental ties (religious, cultural and or political)I put tough topics right out there for one to ponderIn the hopes you find inspiration

My life as an artist. My focus has always been about mark making and my purpose to create a new sensibility. In a world of chaos and confusion filled with hyper media our minds become saturated with a myriad of images and ideas. This piece is one result of my exploration in this area. So, as I started to approach this new line of discovery. I felt I would let my actions lead me rather than having a sketch or specific subject in mind. Just start painting, pay attention and stick with it. As I paint I carefully take note of each stroke, and as I see my marks suggest form I worked to bring the images forth (using the concept of matrixing - the human minds ability to build larger constructs from fragments). I then build on what I see with my minds eye (my imagination) and look to weave one into another weaving a matrix onto the picture plane. And at the same not not just weaving them in a flat plane but in multiple planes. Building actions and objects around and into others without completely loosing them to the others. I have found that it has taken a combination of meditation, focused concentration and using both my conscious and subconscious mind to create these multi-dimensional matrixes. These pieces express the angst of todays word for me and also through the process have helped me to better understand myself. I don't expect you to get it, understand it, appreciate it, or even like it. But if it pleases someone or helps someone else make a break through then it was worth doing and worth posting.
Having eyes that see beyond myself. Having eyes that are not to heavily burdened... by what it seems to me, so many others do. To much of the world is LOST, burdened by racism, nationalism, hatred, greed or religious zeal. We are learly NOT seeing with eyes of truth. Eye of wisdom beyond our own naval if you can still see it. If you FEEL me haller! So selfish as I am... OS American... I have been putting my zeal toward my own personal spiritual & artistic improvement. For the past couple of decades anyway. So when I have them I try to ACT. So these are two pieces resulting from the idea of painting my daughter... Then as I got to it. I saw other very important messages. The Father's love for his daughter... Other father's and their love of their daughters... What they might look like. The daughters, the fathers perhaps. What my daughter might look like if I were different. Again back to the concept 4 winds, 4 colors, 4 races... and I thought hey let's just go there. Two new pieces titled: La hija blancaLa hija rojaLa hija blanca - the white daughter. This piece could easily be titled la hija rosa - the pink daughter. As the facial pigmentation has a nice light rose color. This is a portrait of my daughter if you haven't figured it out yet. :-)The second piece is titled; La hija roja - The red daughter.

image: La hiija Roja
Where I have posted many digital pieces and paintings. So if you are interested at all in my glassblock paintings although there are spirit paintings here as well. more if you want: I can't believe it's only been 3 years since the whole concept swept the media and all due to the internet. Artists being able to publish their work at light speed. We live in amazing times. I find myself looking at the wonders of this world with the eyes of a child. A yet the heart of a conservationist when I look at how we disgrace her mountains majesty. For what GOOD end? The pursuit of worldly personal wealth? The survival of our world, our species, our clan...? When the heart of a warrior is willing to bend. We will see peace in the end. The earth we must mend. Or with our broken hearts we will end. Robert James Kellythank you
It is of my 16 year old daughter Brianna. She now has her driver's license, a car, two part time jobs for the summer... and is getting all grown up right in front of me. I wanted to do this since New Years Eve as I could see her changing into a young woman and wanted to capture her youthful essence. I hope that you enjoyed your Independence Day too.
