It is located at the Microsoft building in fargo. it was a colaboration between me and My Sculpture instructor David Swenson. The Bison is painted white to resemble the albino buffalo and on the bison are hundred of hole drilledto reveale the lights that are solar powered on the inside. The lights in the Bison represent the soul and free will of the massive mammal. The Bison is surrounded by metal bar to represent how the Bison is no longer able to free roam in north america. There is no clear coating on the metal allowing it to rust and drip down onto the bison slowing tinting the white into a light brown.
The stands of the eagle are meant to be smoke and the smoke forms the image of the eagle. It was designed from the idea that all of our traditions are meant to be handed down orally and one of the many spots stories are told is around the fire.
