Join us in celebrating the summer weekend at Cafe Barbette's Bastille Day Celebration this Sunday. Dylan Joins LIVE ACTION SET as a co-musical Incubator, and as part of 20 or so artists, musicians, dancers, and clowns to create a Samba and brass inflected marching band to celebrate being alive and shaking your boody. Join us at Lake and Irving in Mpls' Uptown neighborhood, this Sunday at 6:15pm. Dylan will be the one highstepping it in yellow socks.

The Can Can Café - Children's Hospital

"The Can Can Café" is a live TV show performed twice a week for patients and families at Children's Hospitals of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Written and performed by Josette Antomarchi, Dylan Fresco, and Eriq Nelson. Directed by Eriq Nelson. The Can Can Café is an interactive show with wonderful interactive games, including improvs, quiz shows, sing alongs, and many opportunities for kids to participate and win prizes. It is produced under the auspices and with constant creative and logistical input by the Family Services department at Children's Hospitals.

MPR's Sesquicentennial song for Minnesota Concert

MPR says: Minnesota Public Radio presents the Song for Minnesota Concert with Ann Reed at the Fitzgerald Theater on Saturday, May 3rd at 8:00 p.m. We have commissioned Ann Reed to travel the state as part of the 2008 Sesquicentennial. As our state turns 150 years old we felt it is time to write a new song that incorporates the ideas of Minnesotans through the direction of singer/songwriter Ann Reed. The song will be featured as part of our big grand finale performance at the Fitzgerald Theater on May 3rd. Ann Reed will make occasional appearances on the Morning Show to follow the progress of the song pilgrimage. Anne will share the stage with her friends Dan Chouinard, Leslie Ball, Diane Jarvi, and Joan Griffith. ( and me, Dylan!!!) All tickets are $32.00. There will be an additional $2.50 facility fee added to the price of each ticket. Minnesota Public Radio members receive a discount.

A work in progress, exploring the history of immigration and diaspora in my father's Sephardic Jewish family. The work makes links to other people's journeys and the process by which people become American. This work has received support from Rimon: The Minnesota Jewish Arts Council, through a 2007 Norman Ackerberg Artist Travel Study Grant.
