"Overture (New Material)" was a performance and new sound Collaboration with Justin Jones. Created July 2009, presented at PS122 in New York City Thursday July 30th - Saturday August 1st. The video performance created as the "overture" to CATCH SERIES / NEAL MEDLYN / BRENDAN KENNEDY / PS122 's "WHY WON'T YOU LET ME BE GREAT" performance evening of short works set to Kanye Wests' 2008 Album "808 and Heartbreaks." In accordance with the structure of the evening, the "overture" was constructed to increase association between each performing artist presenting that night and the song title which they would be performing under.

This work was shown a number of times in 2008, under the name [b][i]"INTERMISSION"[/i][/b] (at the Bryant Lake Bowl in January), [i][b]"BRYANT LAKE BOWL INTERMISSSION" [/b][/i](at Exercise Exorcise Series in February and March) and [b][i]"BRYANT LAKE BOWL INTERMISSION #3" [/i][/b](at Catch Series, Starr Street Projects Brooklyn, during Spring Movement Research Festival May 2008) and also was seen at Artery 24 (Soap Factory July) in its full length incarnation [b][i]“THE HISTORIC NEW YORK ARTISTS LOFTS AND RESIDENCIES + HOTEL!”[/i][/b] The project was originally conceived as a part of the first Flaneur Productions "Derive" event, held April 2007 at the Casket Arts Building in Minneapolis, but was not performed due to "injuries sustained while doing the hustle." Skewed Visions' "Strange Love"

"Strange Love," a site specific installation (device) and performance was developed and ran in September and October of 2007 at the Northwest Casket Company in Minneapolis. My contribution included design of an audio score for the 'device' installation space and the media (audio and video) component of the Performance segment. Device was created by Sean Kelley-Pegg and Performance by Charles Campbell. Samples of the work are included in video excerpts. An extended process via the Electric Eyes New Media and Music commission allowed for the development of a research work entitled "I CAN WALK! Appliance Songs by Doctor Strangelove." It was performed in June o 2007 at the Southern Theater. The first of many incarnations at its first performance at the 9' x 22' Dance Lab in March 2007.
