Work was inspired by Arabic language. Though I don't read or write Arabic, I found the 99 names of God found in Arabic to be quite intriguing and so I began experimenting with their use in sculpture.
The work was unique not so much for the form as much as due to the "anvil" I used to shape the metal on. Since I couldn't get outside to my shop, I used a lag screw, secured into the corner of my wooden table, and hammered the shape using a hammer in the house. It was a work born out of boredom and a despirate need to have something to do.
