This is a 3'51 extract of a 9'36 minute work which was created from recordings made during a two-week residency in Grand Marais, Minnesota in April 2007. It is part of my Shadow-walks series where I arrive in a new place and ask local residents to take me on a walk that is special for them in some way. The piece includes conversations with those people who took me on their walks, plus environmental sounds and my own improvised singing, all recorded in Grand Marais.
