The cardboard box is from my studio where I would hang out in it while I thought or draw, it has now become an archway in my studio, a box for an installation, and material for other shelters in my studio. The trimmings I had not seen before the show at the Nash. They were in a suitcase that my brother's mother-in-law gave me. I did not open the suitcase and see what she had given me until the show. Explorer (the excavator) decided to go through to see what was on the other side. Here Explorer found the Dwellers. The Dwellers are planters and players. They live off of Ribbelinchia (rough translation), a long sprawling plant of many colors and uses. Explorer admired the Dwellers and their homeland but decided that one cannot plant and play all the time. With this the Explorer headed back to the portal, tromping through a large patch of Ribbelinchia. Ribbelinchia is a very hearty, one might say invasive, plant. It can grow in many dimensions and environments, and apparently oxygen and dust are one of its favorite places to live. Coming through the portal Explorer began to spread the Ribbelinchia through the space. A passerby notices the growing screamed and shut the door to the space. Little by little the space started to transform and so did Explorer.

image: crawling up

image: Rolling Ribbelinchia

image: view from the window in the front of the room

image: placing rolled Ribbelinchia

image: view from the cave

image: view of the door where they watch

image: worms

image: worm nap squirm

image: river drinking

image: hiding

image: eating

image: rolling

image: Explorer (after the change)

image: view from the netted window
You Can Dress Death Up, But You Can't Take Her Anywhere (A Birth Story)

A traditional, typically ancient story dealing with supernatural beings, ancestors, or heroes that serves as a fundamental type in the worldview of a people, as by explaining aspects of the natural world or delineating the psychology, customs, or ideals of society3. A fiction or half-truth, especially one that forms part of an ideology.Play-1. To occupy oneself in amusement, sport, or other recreation13. To move or operate freely within a bounded space, as machine parts doPlay at-1. To participate in; engage inPlay-1. An investmentWatcher:1. one who looks at, keep one's eyes fixed on2. alert for something 3. an exerciser of protective care"You Can Dress Death Up, But You Can't Take Her Anywhere (A Birth Story)" is the second installation in the series called "There is a Story I Forgot to Tell You". This series stars the larva like knitted creatures that, while never occuping the center of attention in these staged spaces, are the reason why they are created. These larva like creatures are potential and are to be brought to the different worlds by the Garden Bearer (still playing with this or Barer). In the respected worlds that they are brought to they can become what ever is needed to balance out the hole left by the Departed. The Departed are beings that are done with their life in their respected worlds. They are brought by the Mountain Bearer to the Mountains of the Departed, here it is their responsibility to give freely of their lifestuff to the Garden Bearer. This happens so that they can rest and become apart of The Mountains. Also their lifestuff is needed to feed to Eaterbirther who lives in The Garden. The Eaterbirther consumes the lifestuff and poops out the larva like potential. After this it rests and The Garden Bearer takes the potential away to the different worlds for them to become. This is just a small portion of the cycle, a lovely portion.- Angela Zammarelli

image: Part of the Cycle

image: Mountains of the Departed

image: enabled Watcher or Watcher 9
