Statement

A ransom note makes a demand and a promise. A message in a bottle is a cry for help. This series reflects upon these themes, intending to evoke a collage of feelings in the viewer, concerning issues of identity, innocence, futility, communication, confusion, memory and most of all, the absurd.

"For their new show, Jonathan Nelson and Ruben Nusz are throwing everything but the kitchen sink - drawings, paintings, photos, sculpture, video and collaged sound - at such huge themes as creation and destruction, life and death.
