Statement

I am very excited to be working with Interact for the first time! It's great fun & should be a fabulously fun & touching show. This is also the first time I've done costumes for 40 (yes, 40) performers!

In a not-so-distant future, advances in genetic science have divided the nation. While President Eugene M. Bryo illegalizes disability and leads a genetically optimized society of devoted followers, those who embrace their imperfect DNA form a raucous underground faction and broadcast their message of radical acceptance over the air from pirate radio station KDIS. When Bryo gets wind of a rebel song, forces collide in musical grandeur and a humble KDIS jockey is propelled to greatness. This genetically modified musical is a futuristic fairy tale of epic proportions.

Each performance of Future Perfect will be highlighted by a live guest appearance of a local celebrity who will be featured on Renegade radio station KDIS. The line up includes: nationally known actor and storyteller Kevin Kling (April 19 - 21), rock 'n roll legend Willie Murphy (April 26-28), Prairie Home Companion radio star Sue Scott (May 3 - 5), community activist and radio personality Ember Reichgott Junge (May 10 - 12), and spoken word artist J. Otis Powell! (May 17 - 19).
