Shows that have been created under this umbrella include Umba Umbra and Time to Play!.
Why "aga"
Warmth, communal gathering, movement and sustainabilty.
Aga Theatre Lab takes its name from a traditional cast iron stove used primarily in Europe. These four principles are the cornerstones of our beliefs. We hope to create communal events full of love and warmth, letting people walk away feeling better than when they arrived. Our work is rooted in the teachings of Jacques Lecoq paased down to us from master teacher Thomas Prattki. This western european theatre training combined with our various experiences in eastern philosophy and martial arts has given us the tools to create dynamic theatre which is always rooted in a strong sense of physicality and play. Finally, we aknowledge the importance of our planet. We recognize our responsibility to care for it and to reach out to others to share in that vission.
