Chaos Chair - Steel, polyurethane foam, nylon.
Chaos Chair (detail)
This chair was meant to have a very light visual form that seemed almost incapable of supporting itself. A chaotic element was introduced with the random orientations of the internal pins. This randomness suggests a form that is as organic as it is manufactured. The high degree of finish provides contrast to the chaotic jumble of it’s inner structure.
