Statement

Another new series of my artworks are the decorative ladies called "Flapper girls" -- including Fabulous Frannie! Frankie and her friends are made of REAL eggs, with sculpted necks and hands (made of polymer clays.)

Frannie is handpainted with acrylics, then varnished with satin sheen polyurethane. She is then placed on her neck/stand and decorated in the roaring 20's style as a flapper. Frankie and her friends have shoulder wrap/dresses made of ribbon, lace, felt and/or fabric, then decorated with beads, ribbon, jewels and feathers.

Since these are real eggs, they should be cared for as if they are fragile art works, and kept out of direct sunlight. In time the egg contents will evaporate and harden permanently.

Frannie and my other Flapper girls will be offered for sale or given as gifts. She belongs to Illyria Turk.
