The mandala is a Hindu icon relating to sacred spaces, divinity, and the induction of meditation. The ring that surrounds depictions of Shiva is a prabha-mandala (circle of fire). This was my inspiration for the specific arrangement of lights. The impact of the lights, and how they highlight and emphasize my presence, turns me into a larger-than-life illuminated icon. This divinity is a burden- its weight grows tiresome, and it requires assistance to put on.
