Beaulah was our family dog for almost 17 years. She was a brindle pit bull terrier and we always joked that she will 'lick you to death'. She was the most loving, sweetest dog you could imagine. In this painting, she is waiting for my husband to throw a stick in the water so she could fetch it. This was a never ending game when we were anywhere near water. Just before she passed, she went on a road trip to Oregon with us and got to chase waves in the ocean. She was rejuvenated and acted like a puppy. We are so glad we decided to take her along. Two months later she was in alot of pain and we had to make that difficult decision no pet owner wants to make.
