MPR says:
Minnesota Public Radio presents the Song for Minnesota Concert with Ann Reed at the Fitzgerald Theater on Saturday, May 3rd at 8:00 p.m. We have commissioned Ann Reed to travel the state as part of the 2008 Sesquicentennial. As our state turns 150 years old we felt it is time to write a new song that incorporates the ideas of Minnesotans through the direction of singer/songwriter Ann Reed. The song will be featured as part of our big grand finale performance at the Fitzgerald Theater on May 3rd. Ann Reed will make occasional appearances on the Morning Show to follow the progress of the song pilgrimage. Anne will share the stage with her friends Dan Chouinard, Leslie Ball, Diane Jarvi, and Joan Griffith.
( and me, Dylan!!!)
All tickets are $32.00. There will be an additional $2.50 facility fee added to the price of each ticket. Minnesota Public Radio members receive a discount.
MPR says:
"With a rich alto voice, smooth guitar licks, great songs, and her sly wit, Ann Reed has had devoted fans lining up at the box office for more than a quarter-century. Over the years, she has recorded 15 albums, performed countless concerts, and festival dates at world-renowned venues. She has been heard on A Prairie Home Companion, and Minnesota Public Radio's Morning Show. Ann combines her artistry with community involvement. She donates about 25% of her time to the support of nonprofit groups that primarily benefit women and children."
