- I created this image of the mask from a photo of smoke from a forest fire. The one eye that looks golden red was the actual fire. I think what catches my attention in this image is the juxtaposition of the one eye being black while the other eye seems to be full of light. If it is true that the eyes are indeed the windows to the soul, this image reflects the truth that at times the soul is comprised of both darkness and light.
