Statement

- I describe my Lois Images' art as digital, surreal, and primitive in style. I created this art image by taking a photograph of a rose, using Photoshop CS2 to completely deconstruct it in the liquefy filter, and then I recreated it into this Red Lips sssssSizzle image. The only thing other than Photoshop CS2 that I use to make my 'Lois Images' is my vivid imagination.

For the most part, I have nothing specific in mind when I take a photo and begin creating the Lois Image, but as I 'work the photo', smearing all the colors around in the liquefy filter, an image suddenly takes shape, or as I like to think, the image just shows up. I then refine and build, using a selection of the Photoshop tools, a completely new and different image that in no way resembles the original photograph.
