Statement

The tine box was used by Norwegian women during the middle ages to carry their keys and other necessities when attending church, etc. Tine boxes are made of thin strips of bent wood (birch or pine), and are quite sturdy. This box is painted in the Hallingdal rosemaling style, using acrylics (using the shaded multi-loaded brushstroke technique.)

Reviews

"Your work is better than some I have seen in Norway." "I grew up in Norway, but came all the way to Minnesota to learn how to rosemal."
