Statement

This is my first handmade book.

Get Out is a handmade artists book,created in an accordian format, with images on either side of the pages and two title pages on either end.  This book manifests the theme of intrusion with strong sympathy supporting the autonomy of the book/object itself. If you open the book expecting to be able discern the secrets there, the book actively hides its content in a type of frustrating nonsense, cryptic images and dislodged collaged poetry. It means what it says,: GET OUT! An overt slap on the wrist.It is not satisfying on any kind of superficial level,
but hopefully speaks on a deeper level to the patient and poetry seekers.
