A fiber-artwork by Mary Cain, "Hotel DADA," was included in a group-exhibition at DOMICE / Espacio de Arte in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from July 25 through July 31, 2003. The exhibition was organized by Silvio de Gracia and Graciela Cianfagna.
"I seek to possess rather than to picture my ideas in fiberart, and have thereby expanded my vocabulary in the medium. It is my intent to retain the integrity of different techniques while setting a visual rhythm that can be felt by examining - touching - the artwork! After evaluating the visual strength of a finished piece, I recognize new possibilities to investigate with the materials. I then use these materials to initiate again an exploration of world and self."
