FRAN LEBOWITZ ON...
Interview by Susannah McNeely Schouweiler
This interview with the notoriously reclusive raconteur, humorist, and author, Fran Lebowitz, was published in August 2005 by Ruminator magazine.
The conversation ranges widely, from her stint playing a judge on the TV show Law and Order, to her assessment of the public's intelligence; from the state of public education to bans on smoking. She talks about why she considers herself a "realist" and why she hasn't actually managed to write more books.
As you'd expect, Ms. Lebowitz tosses off one-liners and pithy quotables effortlessly throughout--she's a wildly entertaining conversationalist.
