This diagonally plaited basket is woven with strips of birch bark. The bark strips were split in half, and the split face faces out. This basket is approximately 12"H x 15"L x 11"W, and features rims, hinges and a carved swing handle of cherry. The base is white pine. This basket honors my Norwegian heritage.
