This was a series that I did for my Senior Thesis exhibit in 2006.
It explores the obsession with perfection as a society. Every photograph we see on magazines, newspapers, billboards, etc are retouched. Some are digitally altered to such an extent that the subject does not look human. These photographs have been digitally altered past the natural form to become grotesque and misshapen using the same techniques used in traditional portrait studios.
