Batchelor of Fine Arts Degree in painting from The Rhode Island School of Design including a year’s study in Rome in the RISD European Honors Program.
My work concerns portraiture and magic realism. I am trying to understand a sensibility that mimics domestic attachment and micro, semi-fictional disasters. If my work responds to a romantic tradition, it is Nineteenth Century Romanticism with the embrace of emotion before rationality, but my esthetic inspirations are focused toward folk and contemporary drafting styles.
