The comments I have received by people in general is that this costume had a “Blade Runner” sort of appeal, and could be part of any futuristic kind of movie. Photo by Tom Corcoran

Statement

This is the poster of a great benefit event that took place at the International Market Square in Minneapolis in the year 2002. I was one of the designerschosen to participate in the event. In this group you'll see some of the costumes and accessoriesI designed and created for the show. My theme was the three characters The lion, the scare-crow and the tin-man.

Reviews

The theme to me assigned for the fashion show, which was inspired by the movie "The Wizard of Oz," were the three characters the lion, the tin-man and the scarecrow.
The public at the event warmly welcomed the gown opening my show for its message. Courage. That is what people living with the AIDS virus need, what we all need when confronting difficult situations in life, and what the lion in the story of the Wizard of Oz went looking for. The public immediately recognized and perhaps identified with the message on this dress.
