Statement

"Overture (New Material)" was a performance and new sound Collaboration with Justin Jones. Created July 2009, presented at PS122 in New York City Thursday July 30th - Saturday August 1st.

The video performance created as the "overture" to CATCH SERIES / NEAL MEDLYN / BRENDAN KENNEDY / PS122 's "WHY WON'T YOU LET ME BE GREAT" performance evening of short works set to Kanye Wests' 2008 Album "808 and Heartbreaks." In accordance with the structure of the evening, the "overture" was constructed to increase association between each performing artist presenting that night and the song title which they would be performing under.
